In our house, we use the fabulous “I like books for kids” to record all these precious childhood moments. We have four of these awesome books up for grabs, along with four Paws & Read goody bags for your pets!

The first day we brought home 2 rescue kittens from the Denver Dumb Friends League shelter, my kids loved them instantly! My boykin liked how Hickory, the fluffy kitten, ran behind the piano and came out looking like a giant dustball!!! My daughter liked how Annabel, the pretty kitten, would stay still to be stroked and petted. Adorable! ♥
Well, Bex is in with a chance of winning a stuffed-full Paws & Read goody bag for cats AND an “I Like Book” for kids! See how easy it is?
WOOF!
We would love to win the gift basket! no kiddos for us and our first nephew just arrived this summer! No going to school photos this year!
Hi Jane, You’re entered in our contest! What pet do you have? Tell us a bit about him/her! Do you have a photo of the pet or the new nephew? Congrats from the Paws team!
Well, my kiddo is my dog Peanut.
She LIKES and LOVES the family pets – 2 other Westies – as constant playmates! She is always trying to get them to play by running around and ‘pouncing’, trying to entice them. And sometimes they give in! She likes that they are always around to love and play!
That’s awesome Kim, thanks for entering our contest! ~ The Paws team
My kids love their 4 dogs. They also love the foster dogs that my mom brings into her home from the rescue that she helps to run. My kids have learned such a great deal of responsibility in pet ownership from the rescue and when they work the rescue with my mom; they are the first to tell someone how much work it is to have an animal. We have an 18 yr old dog that was left in a foreclosed home. He is the favorite in our house and the kids love that he does tricks and waits for them by the door. Pets are super for kids to have and to learn respect for…love this contest.
We rent and are not allowed to have any pets with fur or feathers. So we got guppies for our four girls. We started off with six of them in 2007 and we now have too many to count. We scoop some out and give them to anyone that wants them at anytime! Plenty to share. My girls like to watch the babies to see what colors they are going to be. They LOVE when we scoop some out to giveaway, sharing our pets they say!
My kids love our rescued pug LuLu. They love playing tug of war with her when she steals their stuffed animals!
My kiddos too are dogs but my Nephew who is 3 the same age of my Rescued Golden loves to play Cow Boys/Dog and Indians together. John Mark loves to be the Indian and Odie chases him around as the Cow Boy/Dog. But no worries after all the chasing they always make up and settle in for a much needed nap.
* I donot have a picture at this time of them playing.
My son loves sleeping with our dog, he loves to play but being a small dog he doest play much. But when they cuddle on the couch or in my sons bed it’s the cutest thing ever
My little boy loves his two doggies Mack and Sydney. He favorite thing to do is cuddle up next to Mack and get kisses from him. He loves to chase Sydney up and down the hall.
My son loves when he gets our dog to chase him! My son is 16 months old and giggles so much when he picks up one of our Shorkie’s toys and gets him to follow him around the house. Our dog knows he has to be gentle with our son so he just follows him around the house waiting patiently for our son to give him the toy instead of pulling it out of his hands. So cute!
Sorry, I just saw that you had to be a Colorado resident in the rules. Please disregard my entry. I saw the post on the The I Like Book facebook page and entered…. their post didn’t indicate a residency requirement. Sorry for the mix-up.
My daughters (6 and 2) just adore our Rottweiler, Winston. He is huge and super fluffy (unlike any other rott we’ve ever seen.) He is such a big baby and he lets the girls climb all over him, share his bones and toys, and dress him up in necklaces, crowns, etc. They just love him!
My daughter loves taking our dogs for a walk and holding their leash…however, this is toss up with hand feeding them their food.
My 3 year old son loves to play hide and seek with our female princess Nala. She is a weimaraner and we will hold her until he’s found his spot. Once we count to 10 we let her go and ask ”NALA, where’s JJ” and she runs all over the house searching for him. You can hear his giggles anywhere he hides, his nerves get the best of him LOL… its his favorite part of his doggy Nala.
My kids love both our kitties very much! The best thing the like about our one cat is she loved to play with her fishy and its something the kids can do to keep busy with the cat!
Would love to win!
Thank you!
Amanda Kaye Grant
My daughter LOVES our two cats. She loves reading to our older cat (who unfortunately is blind and deaf) and she loves playing with our other cat…..and surprisingly he allow her to dress him in doll clothes (go with your instinct when a child and their friend are just a little too quiet!!!).
Oh didn’t realize I needed to be a Colorado resident.
Candace (and her horse, Caesar) and Jane (and her dog Aspen) were our winners! Thanks for entering, everyone – we have contests EVERY Monday, so “like” our Facebook page, or keeping checking back here on the blog for more chances to win prizes!
